Welcome

We welcome you to the Sun City West Republican Club website. If you are a member, this is the place to get up-to-date information on upcoming meetings and events. If you are a visitor have a look around and find out what we do, and how we do it. From September to June we meet on the first Saturday of the month and enjoy some coffee, pastries, a speaker and some camaraderie with fellow Republicans. (Likely meeting through the summer in 2024.)

Our meetings are the first Saturday of the month. Doors open at 8:00 a.m.  Coffee, donuts and social time begins at 8:30 a.m. with the call to order at 9:00 a.m.
Meetings are carefully planned to finish by 10:30 a.m.

 As of June 2022, no charge for current paid members; $3 donation for guests which helps defer the cost of the room.  You may be a guest as many times as you wish, but annual membership is a better support of the club.

The Church on the Green is located "behind" the Walgreens at Johnson and Camino Del Sol.  While you can enter from either road, it may be easier to enter from Camino Del Sol, then drive past the Walgreens building on your left.  The Church will be "dead ahead".

Attention Club Members

 Your 2023 dues expired on December 31st  so bring your check for $20 to the April  meeting to renew for 2024; save time at check-in, fill in your membership application  in advance. CLICK HERE 
If you renewed or joined at the Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, or Mar meeting you're paid through December 31, 2024. You can also mail you application and check to our new post office box which is identified on the application.

Recent Club News

Our annual audit of the Club treasury was recently completed. Our books and records for 2023 were found to be in good order with no exceptions. Thanks go out to Dennis Hanzel.

Upcoming Vote to Amend Club's Bylaws

As reported to our members and interested guests on Saturday, March 2nd, the Bylaws committee has completed its work and has sent its recommended changes in the bylaws to the Club's board of directors.   The Board approved the changes from the committee with minor modifications.   The Board now recommends approval of the amendments to the bylaws by the general membership.  A vote will be taken at the next general club meeting on April 6th.

The proposed amendments are displayed here on the club website and are shown in "red-lined" format to allow members to easily see what is proposed to change.  In blue the reason for the change is noted.  The blue text will not be part of the bylaws and is only included now to explain the reason for each change.

Members in good standing (dues up-to-date) will be eligible to vote on the bylaws amendments at the April 6th meeting.

Calling all Sales People

The Club is sponsoring a gun raffle and a merchandise table with Republican paraphernalia.  Volunteers are need to sell tickets and merchandise prior to the start of the April 6th meeting.  Contact President Bob Randle at   president@scwrepublicans.com

April Meeting, Saturday April 6th

Our meetings start at 9:00 am. Doors open at 8:00 and Social Time starts at 8:30 with coffee and donuts. Free admittance for current paid members; Guests' $3 donation helps defray the cost of the room rental. You can order Name Badges for $15; check with our membership director at the members check-in desk.

At the April meeting we will have three primary speakers:

Rachel Walden,  Lea Marquez Peterson, and Rene Lopez are running for three open positions on the AZ Corporation Commission which sets utility rates in SCW among other responsibilities.  Lea Marquez Peterson is a Republican incumbent;  Rachel Walden has spoken to the club before and is well versed on the process and issues before the Corporation Commission and Rene Lopez will be speaking to our members for the first time.

Dr. Robert Branch is a candidate for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and had previously been scheduled for April, but will now speak to the club in May.



There will be two check-in stations, depending on whether you are a paid up member or a guest. Current members or those wishing to join the club may bring their 2024 annual dues of $20. It will be helpful to fill out the membership application/renewal form in advance to expedite check-in. CLICK HERE for the form. Fill it out on your computer, then print it for better legibility.

Watch for a new feature, Republican Memorabilia Desk.  Donate your old memorabilia, make a donation to the club and take home someone else's previously owned treasures. Upgrade your collection; donate your items that are still in good shape but you're tired of. Give it a look!
